If you have been refused an AVE (or are not eligible), you will need to apply for a visa at the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate. It's very restrictive, but this step is compulsory if you don't want any problems when you arrive in Canada.

You can also apply to the Federal Court of Canada to review the decision on your EV application. A lawyer must apply for judicial review on your behalf.

If you are still trying to travel, you will not be able to travel to Canada. We recommend that you submit a new EV application only after you have taken steps to correct the reason why the original application was rejected.

✅ As a reminder, if you apply for an AVE through us and the authorities decide to refuse to issue the document, we will refund your payment in full.
